Here in Memphis, we have a relatively tiny monthly Cars and Coffee. It's nice, but it's nowhere near as big as our weekly Thursday night cruise. We've had this cruise at least since 2004, but this year it has really taken off - it's become THE place to be if you have a cool car. The retired street rodders and the young ricers co-exist in the same place and everyone gets along. There's a level of respect and comradery between the two extremes that I haven't really seen anywhere else; we're all there because we love cars, simple as that. And the "organizers" (it's really not organized at all, which is glorious) say this year we're gonna be filling this parking lot until there's icicles out. Which, being in Memphis, means we're gonna go all winter long!
Anyway, here's some pics from this week's. I only got a few as I was getting lots of conversation about my car. Made a few new friends and that in itself is the best reason to go every week.
First C7 I've seen in person. I think the styling works much, much better in person than in photographs.
I geeked out over this more than the C7
67 Dart GT. I absolutely love this car, but the owner was more interested in mine than talking about his! Maybe next time I see him I'll ask if he wants to trade...
And here's some Cars and Coffee pics. I got to walk around it a bit more, since no one paid much attention to my car at all. The August one was bigger, but the September one was up against another show that same day and most folks seemed to have gone to that one.
Fiesta ST brought out by a Ford dealer, with a pair of Focus STs brought by their owners.

Kit car, or a legit F40? I couldn't tell by the pictures, but it looks legit, though the taillights are suspect. Still is a beautiful shape.

Found the kit. It is indeed a Fiero kit. There's a lack of an air intake on the rear pillar, it's just filled in black.

No it is a kit car, a really bad one at that. Fiero with a 2.8 that the owner claims has been "bored out and stroked and makes 350hp". Sounds like a Chevy Celebrity with a hole in the muffler. The owner is arrogant as hell and if he'd saved all the money he spent on Ferrari accessories, he coulda bought a real Ferrari.
Don't take this as me shitting on a kit car; the car itself is fine, albeit not my thing. But I can appreciate it for what it is. It's just the owner is so full of shit I can't stand him (he even has a "204 MPH" license plate!) AND he keeps parking right by me at the cruise, even though no one on our aisle will even talk to him since he's been rude to every single one of us.
Now get off my lawn. :-D

Yeah it's a Fiero kit. I don't really have a problem with the car, it's the owner I don't like as you'll see if you see my response to GhostZ lol.

Also, I should've been a smartass and said "You mean my car in the background? Yeeeaaah, I know it's the best...."
4th car facing the opposite direction is my car, the one with the white vinyl top. The black Eclipse is my buddy's car that no one wants to buy.
